Haruhi Fujioka is a middle-class scholarship student, a rarity at the school.
While searching for a quiet place to study, she stumbles upon an unused music room which turns out to be the club room for the school's Host Club — a group of idle rich boys, possessing exceptional good-looks, who entertain female clients.
In 2011, the series re-emerged as a dorama with an accompanying gekijo-ban.

Note- Has multiple partner pairings, alternative lifestyles, and LOTS of lemony kink and yaoi in later chapters. It can be read as a stand alone, but it references events and items from that piece as well.

Her laptop was open on the small table in front of her next to an untouched latte, two soy half-caf double shot espressos, a fragrant white tea, an extra-sweetened mocha with a couple of extra shots of vanilla, and a large black coffee with just a drop of cream.

The Ouran High School Host Club Visual Novel (aka video game) for Playstation 2 and Nintendo DS were developed and published by Idea Factory.Even when she first meets them, she only reacts nervously instead of becoming instantly infatuated like most other girls.Haruhi also has a deeper voice than other female students, has short hair and dresses androgynously most of the time, she is not easily recognized as female. Each host's attraction to Haruhi is directly related to in-game choices.
At the end of the day, two charts illustrate how much profit Haruhi has made and how much each host likes her. The game's opening theme is the same as the anime's while the ending theme is a violin rendition.
The Playstation 2 game was released in 2007 and the Nintendo DS game in 2009.
